Water Plant
Corolla, NC
This reverse osmosis facility
has 200,000 gallons per day capacity and is the central source for the newly
formed Southern Outer Banks Water System.

Wastewater Treatment Plant
Corolla, NC
An Extended Aeration Plant with a Sub-Surface Disposal Field. It can handle up to 180,000 gallons per day and is currently being expanded. A reclamation upgrade conversion is planned in 2002 and will “reclaim” approximately 10 acres of land for possible development. Moyock Commons
Wastewater Treatment Plant
Moyock Commons, a commercial
retail area, makes innovative use of technology with the utilization of a
constructed wetland with an infiltration pond disposal. The constructed wetland
works with some small, irregular shaped pieces of land. The engineer is Mr. Mark Bissell. Facility Owner: Moyock Commons Sewer District;

Coast Guard Station Wastewater
Treatment Plant
The Cost Guard Station in Buxton is a 10,000 gallons per day extended air system with subsurface distribution. The system uses UV disinfectant. Facility Owner: US Coast Guard.
Ocean Sands Water Plant

Currently
operating at 650,000 gallons per day, expansion to 850,000 gallons is being

Wastewater Treatment Plant
A complete reclamation facility with Eagle Creek Golf Course irrigation being the recipient of the “re-claimed” water. UV Disinfectant is used. The facility handles 300,000 gallons per day.
